Extreme Measures

TPC June 22, 2004

Since WHNF wasn’t around in the days following 9/11, we’ve never been forced, out of basic tact and compassion, to abandon our wit and report solemnly. Today we find ourselves in that position.

We reported earlier on a company named Ideltech, whose founders had created a program called TOBI (see How Much Wood). We received an email today from an employee who we interviewed for that article. At 10:24AM on June 14th (the day before TOBI was due to be launched) Ideltech’s new facilities in Aloha, OR were blown up and two of its three founders were killed.

Marty Manson was pushed off of the northbound I-5 Bridge, by a hit and run driver, around 3:55AM. His body wasn’t found until a five days later. Jude Williams was found dead in the Ideltech building after the explosion. According to a MSN Group which Melody Heller (owner and reporter for Amboy Monthly) uses to store her notes, Jude was shot in the left temple with a 9mm. His time of death was estimated at 3:35AM.

Beyond what was in the e-mail, and what the local press has provided, we don’t have a lot of information about this. However from the timing and circumstances of these two men’s deaths, it would appear to have been a poor attempt at arranging ‘accidents’. Thad Tidwell, leader of the militia group The Restorers (staunch opponents of TOBI), is wanted for questioning. At present his location is unknown.

Marcus Thesburg, the third member of the Ideltech trio, was out of town for unknown reasons for several days prior to the 14th. From the email we received, Marcus flew back shortly after the explosion. He hadn’t left the airport before hearing about the deaths of his two friends. He contacted some trusted employees, and then went into hiding. Obviously he fears for his life, and with reason.

Alecia Church, head of Ideltech’s competitor Omniscient Eyes, also contacted some Ideltech employees on the 14th. She alleged hacked into Ideltech’s computer systems a few days before and got a list of employee’s contact information. On June 15th she also hacked into Marcus Thesburg’s email account and sent messages to all employees of Ideltech, asking them to reveal Marcus’ location so she could protect him from Thad Tidwell. The employee who emailed us also mentioned some evidence against Alecia Church, and sent us a document implicating her.

We at WHNF have never claimed to be an unbiased news site, but things are not in any place for us to draw conclusions. However, with the location of Ideltech’s program TOBI in question right now, and someone willing to kill to take TOBI out of Ideltech’s hands, we intend to keep looking into this situation. In fact, it will be our primary focus on this site for a while.
